Budgit Hoist Model BEHC


HOIST TYPE:  BUDGIT HOISTS Model BEHC Electric Chain Hoist is an improved model based on previous designs.  They have a Powdercoat finish.

This Model BEHC does not have a Weston – style load brake as standard equipment.  They are compliant with ASME/ANSI B30.16 standards.

Available from 1/4 through 3 Ton capacity.

Lift heights are standard at 10’, 15’, or 20’.  Longer lifts are available when needed.

HEAVY DUTY MOTOR BRAKE:  New design heavy duty motor brake is an AC spring set disc brake for positive braking action and long life with minimal maintenance.

Budgit Hoist Gears - Gearing


GEARING:  All gears are precision machined of alloy steel and run in an oil bath for a longer and quieter operation.

A combination of helical and spur gears ensure a quiet efficient operation.


Budgit Hoist Overload Protection
OVERLOAD PROTECTION:  This protects the hoist, operator, and supporting structures from lifting loads beyond the hoist’s load range.  This is preset at the factory.

LOAD SPROCKET:  Load Sprocket is provided with a full floating chain guide that assures proper engagement of the chain on the sprocket.

STEEL CHAIN:  Link chain is made of high strength alloy steel and case hardened for long wear and heavy duty service.

NEW LIMIT SWITCH:  All hoists are provided with a high tech electronic limit switch.  Adjustable to regulate upper and lower load travel.

Easily set and adjustable by the press of a button.


Budgit Hoist Push Button Pendant


ERGONOMIC PUSH – BUTTON PENDANT:    Fits operator’s hand for easy one handed operation.

Standard Pendant is 4’ less than the lift.

Standard control voltage is 115V.


Budgit Hoist Load Hooks


LOAD HOOKS:  Are forged carbon steel and under excessive loads, will open gradually and not fracture.

Thrust bearings produce smooth rotation.  The hook will swivel 360 degrees.  Heavy - duty hook latches are standard.


Budgit Single Phase and Three Phase Hoists


VOLTAGES:  Single Phase and Three Phase Models are available.  Not all Models are available in Single Phase.

  • Single Phase:  115/1/60, 230/1/60

  • Three Phase:  208/3/60, 230/3/60, 460/3/60
